What is the Sales Pipeline in Partnerpedia?

To access Manage Sales Activities, click on Manage Sales Activities.

Leads

A lead is the identity of a person or entity potentially interested in purchasing a product or service, and represents the first stage of a sales process. The lead may have a corporation or business associated with the person(s).

Adding a Lead

Under Lead Information, you are able to see who the owner of the lead is and assign it to a specific sales rep.

Mandatory fields are Last Name, Lead Status (New, Contacted, Warm, Qualified, and Purge), Lead Source and Account. These are all indicated by an asterisk. You are also able to add a new account within Leads without having to go to the Accounts page.

Lead Status

A lead status is a specific condition in which a lead currently resides in the buying cycle. The more specific and developed your lead status categories are, the better you can focus your lead nurturing efforts.

Address information allows you to fill in the location of the account.

Additional information lets you provide information like the verticals the account plays in. The Description text box lets you provide more details on the lead.

In this section, you are able to view all existing leads, who owns the lead, what their status is and when the lead was created. You can also add a new lead here.

Editing the Lead

Editing a lead allows you to change anything about the lead such as its name, lead status, contact information, sales rep, etc...

Once you make your changes, click on 'Update' and the information will be updated and you will be taken back to the Summary page of that lead.

If you decide not to edit the lead, click on 'Cancel' and you will be brought back to the Summary page of that lead. You have the option to edit the lead again or return back to the Listings page.

Saving the Lead

Once you have filled out the account information, you have three choices:

  • Save: Will save the entered data and bring you to the Summary page of the lead. Here you can either edit the lead or go back to the Listings page.
  • Save and New: Will save the entered data and return you to the same page so you can add another new lead.
  • Cancel: Won't save the information and return you to the Listings page.

Summary page/Viewing the Lead

In this section, you are able to view the full details of the lead such as who created it and who is the assign sales rep. In this area, you can either edit the lead or return back to the Listings page.
